Department for International Trade's exclusive lunch and Q&A on FTA
The UK's Department for International Trade (DIT) invites you to join us for an exclusive lunch and Q&A with the UK British Consul General for Queensland Jo Freeman & First Secretary for Economic Diplomacy, Peter Harrington, to discuss the upcoming Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the UK and Australia.
As part of our ongoing consultation process to keep our policies relevant and contemporary we would like to hear what the market expects the UK government to deliver from the UK-Australia FTA. We would like to engage with local companies with an interest in the UK to seek your views on what a successful FTA will deliver and how this will benefit your business and commercial outcomes within Australia.
The UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) helps businesses to export, drive inward and outward investment, champion free trade and negotiate market access and trade deals. Recently DIT has been successful in securing trade deals between the UK and a number of countries, and is in ongoing discussions with Australia to secure an ambitious and comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
We will be joined by:
- Joanne Freeman, British Consul-General to Queensland & Northern Territory and Director for Trade, Australia
- Peter Harrington – First Secretary for Economic Diplomacy
Lunch will be provided so please let us know of any dietary requirements when registering your interest.
Please be aware, due to a limited number of tickets available we are offering 1 ticket per business, secured on a first-in basis.
