Prior to our Enterprise Evening in Brisbane on February 22, we invite you to join us on an exclusive behind the scenes small group site tour to understand how the Port of Brisbane contributes more than $7.8B into QLD’s economy through the supply chain.

On the day attendees will participate in a bus tour of the Brisbane Port facilities, visit IOR’s new Australian import and storage terminal, which is currently under construction, and conclude with a behind the scenes look at Qube Bulk’s specialist end-to-end logistics facilities.

As Australia’s largest capital city port, for imported equipment for projects for coal seam gas, renewables and mining sectors, the Port of Brisbane plays a vital connecting role for exporting agricultural commodities like grain and cotton as well as resources including coal. Join Port of Brisbane’s COO Peter Keyte, for a lunch and learn to hear how their journey has evolved, and adapted to emerging industries such as wind and solar and understand sustainability targets, they are incorporating making the port one of the most environmentally sustainable port’s in the world.

IOR are currently constructing Australia’s newest import and storage fuel facility at the Port of Brisbane. This terminal will play a vital role in supporting and increasing Australia’s domestic fuel storage capacity. IOR COO, Drew Leishman will be in attendance, providing tour delegates with an update on the construction process of the facility as it approaches commissioning later this year.

With over 500 wind towers currently being constructed in South-East Queensland, Qube’s Port of Brisbane Renewable depot is a dedicated 10ha purpose-built facility which has the capacity for unloading, storage and has the ability to transfer some of the world’s largest wind farm componentry to major renewable projects in our region. Attendees will see first-hand how the facility operates and gain a visual understanding of the scale and size of wind tower componentry and how it is provides vital logistics support to the supply chain. 

Site Tour Itinerary:

10:00am - Guests arrive at Port of Brisbane Office - 3 Port Central Ave, Port of Brisbane

10:30am - Bus departs from Port of Brisbane Office

11:00am - Arrival at IOR - 2 Tanker Street, Port of Brisbane

11:30am - Arrival at LCR - 31 Whimbrel Street, Port of Brisbane

12:00pm - Return to Port of Brisbane Office

12:20pm - Light lunch in meeting room and presentation by Peter Keyte - Chief Operating Officer from the Port of Brisbane  

1:00pm - Proceedings conclude

Please note numbers for this site tour are strictly limited and will be served on a first booked basis. This tour is in addition to our Enterprise Evening later in the day.
