Site tour of Kogan Creek Power Station
Please note this site tour has been cancelled
Prior to our November Enterprise Evening in Chinchilla, CS Energy will be hosting a site tour of the Kogan Creek Power Station for a limited amount of people.
Recently the State Government has committed to build the Surat’s first demonstration hydrogen project. CS Energy will show their plans for this hydrogen facility at Kogan, together with their plans for a regional future energy hub.
Commercial production of hydrogen might be the next opportunity for the growing diversity of energy production in the Surat Basin. As we move toward the addition of further renewable energy production, the commercial establishment of next-generation hydrogen production will help ensure we maintain our regions’ title of Energy Capital of Queensland….maybe even Australia!
There is both global and domestic demand for hydrogen, which together with emissions targets, are driving the development of hydrogen projects. Our region is strategically located to embrace hydrogen development to accelerate the reduction in our carbon footprint and cost base of energy.
This is a unique opportunity to see the Power Station prior to our Enterprise Evening, where we will also be hearing directly from Andrew Bills on CS Energy’s role in this transition, what it means for businesses, consumers and how your business could position itself on potential hydrogen projects.
Agenda is as follows:
8:45am - Attendees to meet at Kogan Creek Power Station
9am - Site tour of Kogan Creek Power Station
11am - Tour concludes
