About Us

About Us

Arthur John McLean and Charlotte Hope White were married in Pittsworth in 1950, and raised six children – Lynda, Chris, Jenny, Donna, Brian and Pam. Charlotte ‘Hope’ McLean started their family farm with 500 hens and developed the original 7.5-acre poultry farm located in Quarry Street, Pittsworth – where McLean and White streets are today. The original farm reared and grew birds for free-range egg production.

Our business has grown exponentially, but our values and commitment to quality has steadfastly remained the same.

The legacy of McLean Farms extends beyond our 3650 hectares; spreading into the local community, the Australian egg sector and the national food industry at large.

Determined to lead from the front of large-scale ethical egg production, we pride ourselves on operating to the same ethical and meticulous levels we have for three generations, whilst pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with the newest and most innovative technology.
