TSBE Food Leaders Australia to lead trade mission to Singapore
From 22 – 28 September 2024, Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) Food Leaders Australia (FLA) will lead a Market Connections Tour to Singapore.
The tour will showcase the opportunities and benefits of doing business with Singapore, a major regional hub for multinational businesses operating in Asia and a highly developed trade-oriented market economy.
Singapore ranks as the world’s easiest place to establish a business, with a pro-business government and a transparent and reliable economic and regulatory environment. Australia is Singapore’s fifth largest trading partner and Australian products enjoy a premium position in the market, especially in areas where Australia has strengths: service-related industries, advanced engineering and manufacturing, and technology.
Participants will also learn about doing business in Singapore, enjoy geo-political briefings, cultural experiences and visits to some of Singapore’s most iconic tourist destinations.
The tour coincides with the Singapore Gardens by the Bay Display, a collaborative project between Gardens by the Bay (GB), Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC), Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE), and Southern Queensland Country Tourism (SQCT). The project will feature an 850m² horticulture display spotlighting the Toowoomba Region, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers (TCOF), regional fresh produce, and Indigenous culture. A second trial shipment of plants left Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport for Singapore on Tuesday 18 June.
The display, which will run from September to November 2024, marks the first time that such an opportunity has been extended to a region in Australia.
Expressions of interest for the tour close on Friday, 19 July 2024
