More than 130 business and community leaders gathered in Toowoomba on Thursday, 26 June for TSBE’s First Nations Women in Business Dinner, celebrating the achievements, leadership and economic contributions of First Nations women across the region.

The event showcased the growing impact of First Nations women in business, entrepreneurship, sport and community leadership as well as highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for future generations.

Guests heard from an inspiring line-up of speakers including dual international athlete, media personality and business owner Bo de la Cruz, former Queensland Small Business Commissioner Dominique Lamb, Brisbane Lions AFLW star Ally Anderson, and Paralympian Torita Blake, who shared powerful insights into resilience, leadership and driving meaningful change.

TSBE’s Indigenous Business Connector, Ashley Williams said the event was an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary contribution First Nations women make to businesses, communities and the broader economy.

“The night was about celebrating the leadership, determination and success of First Nations women who are creating opportunities, inspiring others and strengthening our regions,” Mr Williams said.

“Their stories remind us of the importance of fostering inclusive pathways to business success and economic participation.”
