Boeing Australia in the Wellcamp Aerospace and Defence Precinct at Wellcamp Airport
One noteworthy development in the manufacturing sector is the establishment of a facility by Boeing Australia in the Wellcamp Aerospace and Defence Precinct at Wellcamp Airport.
This state-of-the-art facility will assemble the Boeing Airpower Teaming System, also known as Loyal Wingman. This groundbreaking military combat aircraft represents a remarkable milestone for Australia, as it is the first of its kind to be designed, developed, and manufactured in the country in half a century. The inaugural flight of this remarkable aircraft took place in February 2021, marking an important achievement for the Australian manufacturing industry.
