Toowoomba-based Fertec provides agricultural inputs including Entra micronised gypsum and Alka micronised lime to farmers nationwide. Fertec is also an authorised distributor of the Metalform Tow and Fert liquid fertiliser applicators from New Zealand. Coming in a range of sizes from 500-4000L, the Tow and Fert is suited to broadacre, pasture, horticulture and tree crop applications. Its benefits include precision application rate, accurate product placement, dust-free application and co-application of multiple nutrients and biologicals. Versatility is one of the biggest benefits of the Tow and Fert range, with products being able to be applied from one tank one-pass. This saves time and gives farmers control over their nutrient input. The Fertec team has a disciplined scientific approach to providing products and services that promote soil health, an increasingly important requirement in all farming operations. This is evident in the development of Entra - the rapid solubility of Entra allows for application of smaller quantities than bulk gypsum to mitigate clay dispersion and surface crusting in dispersing soils. Entra can either be sprayed onto topsoils if surface crusting is expected or combined with compost and incorporated into the topsoil. In addition to the Tow and Fert being able to apply Entra in a slurry form, Fertec also offers large-scale application services for Entra and Alka.
